MAD STARS: Largest Advertising Festival in Asia, Exhibitions and Awards

The 17th edition of MAD STARS, one of the world’s fastest-growing advertising festivals, for the first-time recorded paid entries for awards. Held in Busan, South Korea, the event drew the creative community, experts and the marketing community. This year, MAD STARS is running on the theme ‘AIM: Aim Marketing Success with AI’.

Hwanjin Choi, chairperson of MAD STARS, said this is a pivotal year for the festival. “It’s first year of paid entries into the Awards that signifies its coming of age on the global stage, making it the largest advertising festival that brings East and West together.”

He said the event features 44 speaker sessions in two divisions, and keynote sessions on ‘How Artificial Intelligence and Creativity Can Fuel Innovation’ and ‘The Era of AI-Driven Marketing Creativity’.

Emma de la Fosse, the Chief Creative Officer at Edelman UK, who is one of the four executive juries at the event said MAD STARS is an interesting festival. “As well as fantastic integrated creative work, I’m really looking forward to seeing some exciting digital content ideas.” La Fosses acknowledged that the creative industries are undergoing a radical change with the advent of generative AI. “So, I am looking forward for ideas with humanity in digital content.”
