Anko, an Australian home décor brand, is set to make a digital-first entry into India via Amazon and other D2C channels, including its website.
Currently, a limited selection of Anko products has been made live on Amazon.in under various categories, including home, kitchen, furniture, décor and more. The selection will be expanded over the next few months to include more products.
Ian Bailey, managing director at Kmart Group, said Anko is well-placed to capture the attention of Indian consumers who aspire to enhance their homes and lifestyle with high-quality products at affordable prices. Arjun Puri, director, Anko, said their direct sourcing model is strongly rooted in the company’s ethical and sustainable practices. The brand is confident that Indian customers will appreciate the value and quality of our range of products.
In February, Pulkit Bansal, who is the head of Indian operations, said the brand stands out for on-trend designs, great quality and affordable pricing. He believes that consumerism in India is at an all-time high, and there is a huge demand for aspirational products from the growing middle and upper-middle class. Bansal said Anko is uniquely positioned to serve this segment with its specialized homeware.
