Ford Motor to Import Lincoln Nautilus From China For U.S. Market

Ford Motor is set to import the Lincoln Nautilus for the U.S market from China. It currently produces the luxury SUV for the American market at Ford’s Oakville Assembly Plant in Ontario, Canada.

The spokeswoman for Lincoln said Lincoln is a global brand that is growing. “As we execute our U.S. manufacturing growth plans, we think it makes sense to centralize Nautilus production in China for both markets which allow us to gain manufacturing efficiencies and retool our Oakville facility to get ready to build our next-generation EVs.”

The new Nautilus, as per a report, will feature a redesigned exterior and new interior. It includes nearly door-to-door screens in the front seats, and a new feature called Lincoln Rejuvenate – a multisensory, in-cabin experience, including lighting and digital scenting. The company said Lincoln Rejuvenate, a stationary experience, has specially curated sensory experiences tied to lighting, screen visuals, and personal preferences, such as seating position and massage options for clients to recharge. It should be noted that Nautilus is the first production car in the U.S. to be built with unique characteristics.

The Lincoln Nautilus offers drivers a comfortable and stylish ride that is practical and efficient. Moreover, the SUV will be powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine and a hybrid powertrain. It’s expected to go on sale in early 2024, with starting prices between $51,810 – $75,860.
