MENA’s largest gathering of market and communications creatives, Dubai Lynx International Festival of Creativity, was kickoff today in a grand way. The one-day festival brings MENA’s creative communications industry together to learn, network and celebrate the power of creativity.
This year’s edition took place at Madinat Jumeirah Dubai. It celebrated creative excellence, unique learning and networking opportunities. Festival participants took advantage of exclusive seminars, workshops and inspirational talks from industry leaders in the creative sector.
Dubai Lynx had earlier announced changes to the 2023 Awards, including the new Creative Commerce Lynx. This reflects the region’s engagement with Commerce awards at its outher festivals, as well as an increase in commerce focused work across the rest of Dubai Lynx. The organizers highlighted that the Award celebrates the innovative and creative approach to online and offline commerce, payment solutions and transactional journeys.
Majed Al Suwaidi, senior vice president at Dubai Media City, believes creative sector is a key pillar in a knowledge-based, diversified economy. “Dubai is a rapidly growing global hub for creatives, backed by the Dubai Creative Economy Strategy, an attractive business environment and a multicultural melting pot.”
Thea Skelton, Festival Director at Dubai Lynx, said the event promises to be packed with empowering keynotes, thought-provoking panels, and insights from the jury, followed by a celebration of the winning work at the awards ceremony.”
According to Middle East Campaign, the Media Lynx was refreshed for 2023, to put the jury in the best position to reward true media ideas. The Co-Creation of Branded IP category was introduced to ensure the Award accurately reflects the current Media industry, and recognize the breadth of work that media agencies and specialists are engaging in.
