Hollywood actress Blake Lively has launched her new hair care brand ‘Blake Brown’ in collaboration with Give Back Beauty. This new line will be available at Target stores and Target.com from August 4. Blake Brown boasts quality and affordability.
Lively said her product was in the making for seven years. “I also wanted scents that felt like fragrances I would buy as high-end perfume. I wanted it to be cleaner than the products I was using with great results so I didn’t feel nervous sharing it with family,” she explained. “I wanted it to attempt to show how beautiful maximum sustainability can be. I wanted it to be vegan, cruelty-free free, and formulated without sulfates, silicones, parabens, synthetic dyes, etc.”
The Age of Adaline actress wanted her hair care brand products to look stunning on the shelf. Lively said it should be beautiful because that’s (shelf) valuable space in any given home. “Now I see why there was nothing out there that hit all my goals simultaneously.” Lively highlighted that the Blake Brown brand was a beast to build. “I couldn’t be prouder of what we created for you.”
Blake Lively also revealed that she has always been interested in her hair. “I had more opportunities come to me in the hair care space than in any other space. Like more than my real job of acting!” She has never really changed her hair much because she has a look that she likes. Lively said the look became distinct to her. “If I wanna walk down the street in New York City, literally, if I just put my hair in a bun, I can walk around and people don’t look twice.”
Unlike other hair care brands, Blake Brown doesn’t include conditioners. It has two categories of shampoos and masks – Nourishing and Strengthening. Amazingly, Lively has tested her brand products on herself. “The shampoos lathered beautifully, leaving hair clean but not stripped. The masks feel like a warm hug on your hair, adding slip, moisture, and shine without weighing strands down.”
Furthermore, the shampoos come in 100 percent PCR geometric bottles, designed by Lively herself. She said the products are meant to stack neatly together on a shelf and blend in. The actress pointed out that there is perfection in the geometry but imperfections in the plastic itself because it has been previously recycled and can be recycled again.
