NARS has come up with NFTs, converging art and technology as a new avenue for women to embrace individuality and self-expression, to mark its 20th anniversary in Hong Kong. The brand aims to connect with the next generation of digital life and engage #NARSissist through the digital certification of NFT.
It is issuing 2,022 POWERICON NFTs as a milestone to commemorate 20 years of beauty transformation in Hong Kong. The digital collectibles drew inspiration from the new NARS Powermatte lipstick collection in an effort to encourage the pursuit and discovery of beauty and artistry among women.
The POWERICON NFTs is the works of NARS in collaboration with Rex Koo, a local designer and illustrator. Its NFTs feature unique face shape, hairstyle, lip color, outfit and accessories. 1,702 tokens, out of the 2,022 pieces of Solana-based NFTs, are standard avatars and 320 are special edition avatars.
Holders of these NFTs get priority access to the new Powermatte Lipstick Collection, VIP admission to an exclusive event, and complimentary makeup service. NARS seeks to empower women to experiment and have fun with makeup by helping them enhance their natural beauty and individual characteristics.
