Domino’s is always reaching out to its consumers. This time, the pizza restaurant chain has introduced “Tap to Order” via Apple CarPlay. Customers will be able to order while on the go with two options Tap to Order or Call to Order.
The new feature puts a simplified version of the Domino’s app on the consumers’ dash and lets them Tap to Order. It instantly signals their main store to start making the order for pickup. Through the Call to Order, the customer can talk to someone hands-free to order.
Christopher Thomas-Moore, Domino’s SVP chief digital officer, said they know and understand how frustrating it can be to wait in a fast food drive-thru line just to place an order. He explained that Domino’s app on CarPlay is a great alternative to that, as customers still have the convenience of staying in their car, and can place an order from wherever they are, without waiting in a long drive-thru.
To take advantage of this service, the customer needs to first set it up. They need to get the Domino’s app for iPhone, log in or create an account, create an Easy Order, which will be used for the instant Tap to Order, and then launch Domino’s via Apple CarPlay.
Domino’s is the first pizza restaurant company in the U.S to offer easy on-the-go ordering via CarPlay. Customers can also track the status of their order.
