Fast food restaurant franchise Subway has partnered with Cadbury for the famous Cadbury Crème Eggs this Easter. Subway is launching a limited-edition sandwich, a SubMelt made with Cadbury Crème Egg.
Actually, it’s a 6-inch sandwich made on the chain’s Italian white bread and has a chocolate crème egg melted in the middle of it. The restaurant said only 500 of the special sandwiches will be made, and they will be available for “free” at a few select Subway locations in England at Tottenham, Central London and Central Shopping Center, Liverpool.
Rusty Warren, Subway’s senior manager of new product development and innovation, said the Italian White Bread and Cadbury Crème Eggs make the most flavorsome combination, a perfect seasonal treat. Subway realized this unique collaboration and reached out to Cadbury to make it into a reality.
Charlotte Docker, brand executive for Cadbury Crème Egg, said they simply couldn’t resist when Subway approached them. She pointed out that the highly-anticipated Crème Egg season is in full swing and they are very much excited to launch this innovative product with Subway as a final hoorah of the season.
