Connie and Trevor, Argos’ iconic brand mascots, are at it again, this time they have taken ‘There’s More to Argos to another level in a 30-second ad film. The&Partnership, the creative agency, got behind Argos’ latest campaign and created a crowd puller.
The ad is focused on a mystery chef creating a culinary masterpiece that is set to the iconic Kill Bill track ‘Battle Without Honor or Humanity’. Inspired by the high-end kitchen equipment, the chef – Trevor is caught up in the moment. He pulls out all the stops to create his signature dish of sausage and beans. He presents it to a bewildered Connie with a flourish and a generous squirt of ketchup.
Matt Moreland and Chris Clarke, The&Partnership group creative directors, said a lovely human truth is at the heart of this campaign. They explained that great products can give people ideas. “So when it comes to fancy cookware making somebody feel like a Michelin star chef, who better than Trev to create this culinary masterpiece. We, like Trev, are very pleased with the end result.”
Rob Quartermain, Argos’ head of marketing campaigns, had earlier said that Argos strives to become the customers’ go-to destination for a wide variety of products. “That’s why our new brand platform demonstrates that there is much more to Argos.
