For 87 years, Oscar Mayer has taken pride in its iconic hotdog-shaped motor vehicle from the Wienermobile. Now, the American company has rebranded its entire fleet of sausage-shaped shuttles to “Frankmobiles”.
While the cars will stay the same, the name has been rechristened as part of a promotional strategy to push a “tasty new recipe”. The fleet of six Frankmobiles aim to raise awareness for Oscar Mayer’s reformulated 100 percent Beef Franks as the product lands on grocery store shelves nationwide. The new recipe for hot dogs represents the first change to Oscar Mayer’s Franks in six years. The company is also coming up with refreshed packaging to compliment the taste – a more balanced flavor profile and iconic beef taste that is more delicious than ever.
Stephanie Vance, the associate brand manager at Oscar Mayer, said the Wienermobile is a beloved American icon that has been sparking smiles and driving craveability for the company’s iconic delicious wieners for nearly 100 years. “This summer, it’s time to highlight another fan-favorite: our delicious 100 percent Beef Franks. When Oscar Mayer makes anything, we prioritize taste over everything, so no matter what kind of hot dog you enjoy this summer, if it’s Oscar Mayer, you know it will be 100 percent tasty and 100 percent make you smile.”
The Frankmobile is offering “Franks for Franks”. This comes as Oscar Mayer continues to bring its signature brand platform “Keep It Oscar” to delicious new heights. Oscar Mayer, from Frank-themed whistles to comical ‘please do not lick’ decals, designed every detail of the Frankmobile to encourage people from taking things too seriously, freeing people up to enjoy themselves with seriously delicious meats, like Oscar Mayer’s 100 percent Beef Franks. Oscar Mayer said the Frankmobiles will continue their mission to unite fans around a love of meat.
