Global electronics giant Samsung received recognition for its excellence in design centered on consumer lifestyles and experiences at the International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) 2024. This is one of the world’s most prestigious design awards programs. The South Korean company won two Gold, one Silver, and two Bronze awards.
Samsung’s Gold awards were for its Galaxy AI UX and advanced design concepts for appliance accessors. Galaxy AI UX has empowered users meaningful intelligence which enhances every part of life. It enables seamless communication anywhere, anytime. Samsung’s advanced design concepts for appliance accessories, was named as sustainable design identity for home appliances accessories. It designated three colors for accessories depending on their maintenance requirements and disposal methods.
Samsung received the silver award for the trendy Galaxy Z Flip 5, a foldable smartphone that uses a new form factor and a larger cover display to maximize the user experience. Moreover, the brand won two bronze awards for its harmonious designs of Galaxy Tab S9 Series and AI Vision Inside.
TM Roh, President and Head of the Corporate Design Center at Samsung Electronics, said these awards serve as an important validation of the company’s relentless commitment to pushing the boundaries of design while ensuring their creations resonate with people. “As we move forward, we’ll maintain a keen focus on developing innovative designs that both enrich the lives of our users and also stay true to each product’s essence.”
