Starlux Celebrates Taipei-Hong Kong Route with One-Day Snoopy-Themed ‘TramOramic’ Experience

Starlux, a Taiwan-based airline, has marked the opening of the Taipei-Hong Kong route with the introduction of one-day Snoopy-themed TramOramic experience. Tram passengers will be served by Starlux flight attendants on July 20 to celebrate the new route. They can take advantage of in-flight food and beverage hospitality in the iconic 1920s-style open-top tram sightseeing tour. The passengers can also take home exclusive gifts and a commemorative travel pass.

Tony Cho, Mainland China chief representative and Hong Kong branch general manager of Starlux, said the airline has continued to grow since its launch in 2018. Starlux is working towards offering five roundtrips per day. Cho said they will boost passenger flight frequency in 2025 when Chek Lap Kok’s third runway comes into full operation.

Nixon Cheung, the tram operator’s head of commercial and brand at HK Tramways, said they have recorded a surge in passengers in recent years. “We do have a great rebound during the past years, especially when we have many free ride days that catered to a lot of customers, especially tourists flying from all over the world.”

Hong Kong Trams has partnered with Starlux to attract tourists from Taiwan. People can share their Starlux Snoopy-themed rides on social media and win flight tickets from Hong Kong to Taipei.
