Bentley Motors has tapped into South Korea’s appetite for high-end goods with the launch of the Bentayga EWB – a luxury sport utility vehicle. Its Extended Wheel Base range is 7 inches longer than a normal Bentayga, meaning more interior space.
The luxury SUV is equipped with a 4.0 liter V8 engine, has a top speed of 290 km/hr, and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/hr in 4.6 seconds. The cabin features seats that can be automatically adjusted for temperature and posture.
Christian Schlick, brand division director at Bentley Motors Korea, said South Korea remains the most important market in Asia. Bentayga EWB comes in an extended range of 60 exterior colors, 15 leather upholstery colors, 10 handcrafted veneers, and a choice of 21-inch or 22-inch wheels in a variety of finishes, there’s an almost endless variety of options to tailor the look of the car.
Schlick said Koreans prefer not to have the same cars as their neighbors and friends. “Therefore, we’re offering millions and billions of opportunities to specialize our cars.”
With the Bentayga EWB, Bentley has joined the league of luxury carmakers and consumer brands launching new products and special events, targeting Korean consumers. Bentley is also making a Korean edition of its Continental GT sedan with the interior designed in collaboration with Korean artist Ha Taeim.
The British luxury carmaker will build only 10 such cars. It will be ready for delivery in the first half of 2024.
