Edit scripted, motion-graphics episodes of roughly 8 minutes for the YouTube channel on a fortnightly rhythm.
Build motion graphics, titles, data animations and transitions in the BTC Observatory look (Observatory Ink, Acid Proof, Newsreader and IBM Plex Sans).
Sync picture to voice-over and script, flag claims that look unsupported, and work with the editorial team on fact checks before export.
Source and license footage, stills and music correctly, keeping a rights log for every episode.
Cut vertical Shorts (9:16, under 60 seconds) with a strong first second, and cut-downs for LinkedIn and Instagram.
Add accurate captions and subtitles, with Arabic or Hindi subtitles as a bonus.
Work with the social team so clips ship on the weekly rhythm.
Prepare delivery files to the correct specs, and support thumbnail and title packaging.
Write chapters and descriptions with the editorial team, and keep a reusable template library (intros, lower thirds, end cards).
Review retention graphs after publishing and adjust the next edit based on what the audience skipped.
What they’re looking for
A portfolio with explainer, documentary or motion-graphics work, not only vlog-style edits.
Strong command of Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut, and working knowledge of After Effects.
A real sense of pacing and storytelling, and the discipline to cut what does not earn its place.
Clean audio mixing and music selection skills.
Understanding of image, footage and music licensing, and a respect for rights.
Ability to turn around an edit to a deadline and to take structured feedback.
