Branded Cities Acquires Operating Rights of Woodbine Entertainment

Branded Cities, a leader in iconic OOH advertising across North America, has successfully acquired the operating rights of Woodbine Entertainment digital network. This acquisition strengthens Branded Cities’ dominance in Canada’s largest city.

Steve Ellman, Chairman and CEO of Branded Cities, said they are thrilled to present their brand partners and clients with the extraordinary opportunity to showcase their campaigns with one of Canada’s most remarkable destination venues. “Our proven track record in successfully operating out-of-home assets in Special Sign Districts positions us as the ideal partner for Woodbine,” he said. “We will leverage our deep expertise to ensure brands have maximum impact for their advertising campaigns.

Daniel Caulfield, Head of Business Development and Partnerships of Woodbine Entertainment, said they are confident in Branded Cities’ ability to align with Woodbine’s vision and enhance their experience. “Branded Cities’ impressive track record in destination-focused out-of-home advertising and their success at Yonge and Dundas assured us they are the perfect fit for this project,” he said. “We eagerly anticipate the innovations and memorable moments this partnership will bring to Woodbine Entertainment.”

Branded Cities said the synergy between the two companies has already proved to be a perfect match. This is evident in the recent live streaming of Woodbine’s largest event ‘The King’s Plate’ at Yonge and Dundas in 2023. The event was broadcast on Canada’s three largest digital screens.

Moreover, Woodbine Entertainment plans to develop 684 acres of the racetrack. It wants to grow the horse racing industry and generate jobs. The project includes the Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto, which consists of the largest gaming floor in the country, a 400-room trackside hotel, and a 5,000-person live entertainment venue, and a brand-new parking structure.
