Comedian Kate McKinnon has brought in her A-game to Hellmann’s “Big Game” commercial with Mayo Cat.
The ad shows Mayo Cat effortlessly showing off for the camera as the Ghostbusters (2016) actress juggles the animal and several jars of Hellmann’s Mayonnaise. It highlights the brand’s “Make Taste, Not Waste” platform. Hellmann’s wants to motivate consumers to reduce waste, by transforming leftovers into delicious post-game meals.
Chris Symmes, senior marketing director at Dressings North America, Unilever, says this year’s Big Game spot starring iconic comedic talent Kate McKinnon and the soon-to-be iconic Mayo Cat will certainly deliver on the laughs and the message of how to put a ‘paws’ on food waste.
“We’re excited to be back in the Big Game and to continue using this cultural moment, and second most wasteful food day of the year in the US, to help inspire viewers to think creatively about what’s in their fridge.”
Hellmann’s is very much committed to helping people enjoy great tasting good for the simple pleasure it is, without worry or waste. The brand, for over a century, has helped people turn even the simplest ingredients into delicious meals. Hellmann’s is a force for positive behavior change around household food waste.
