AnadoluJet, a successful brand of Turkish Airlines, is now operating under a new name AJet Air Transportation Inc. This is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Turkish Airlines. It will operate flights to 41 domestic and 52 international destinations, including the United Kingdom.
With ticket sales now open, AJet will operate from Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen and Ankara Esenboga airports in Turkey and offer economy-class seating across its fleet. Prof. Dr Ahmet Bolat, Turkish Airlines Chairman of the Board and the Executive Committee, said the name change is in line with their goals for the next 10 years. “We are proud to have started the establishment process of our AJet. The efforts and dedication we have put in for a long time have paid off, and we will introduce AJet to the skies with the summer schedule at the end of March 2024. We believe that AJet with its new name will become an important part of the low-cost aviation industry on global scale.”
He said the company plans to operate as eco-friendly and will enter the ‘low cost’ market with an innovative perspective. “By simplifying the services offered and utilizing an economy class configuration, the company aims to reflect the cost advantage in ticket prices, making air transportation services accessible to a broader audience.”
