AZULIK to Open New Eco-luxury Resort in Saudi Arabia By 2027

Mexican luxury brand AZULIK is set to develop an eco-luxury resort through the Royal Commission of AlUla (RCU) in Saudi Arabia. The new resort will be established within the Journey Through Time (JTT) master plan and aligned with the Sustainability Charter- Saudi Green Initiative and Vision 2030.

To be launched in 2027, the AZULIK AlUla Resort will be located in the Nabatean Horizon District of the JTT master plan. It will feature 76 luxury villas of six different types, a spa, a VIP club, welcome lounges, all-day dining, and an SFER IK museum.  The resort’s exteriors, inspired by the natural ecosystem and surrounding sandstone cliffs, will use natural materials and fibers woven into several layers. It will protect and incorporate nearby ancient rock art inscriptions, and utilize a natural system of existing waterways to feed irrigation and safeguard against floods.

Moreover, no private vehicle traffic will be allowed on the property. An all-electric mobility system will be provided. Guests can enjoy the surroundings by traveling on horses and camels and going on hikes.

John Northen, RCU vice president of Hotels and Resorts, said AZULIK AlUla is centered on the concept of sustainability and connection with the natural and human heritage surrounding this magnificent property. “Along with its proximity to the AlMutadil Equestrian Village and the Wadi AlFann, both under development, this resort is one of several assets contributing to AlUla’s growth as a leading destination in line with our Journey Through Time master plan.”
