Uber has recorded a technological milestone through a strategic partnership with Coco to launch the latter’s sidewalk robots on Uber Eats. Coco’s robots will initially be launched in Los Angeles and then in other cities.
Zach Rash, Co-founder and CEO of Coco, expressed the thrill of partnering with Uber to expand their services to more customers. “With our rapidly growing fleet, we’re in a unique position to bring unprecedented scale to this partnership, and deliver the benefits of sustainable and affordable robot delivery to more customers around the world.”
Noah Zych, Global Head of Autonomous Mobility & Delivery at Uber, welcomed Coco’s sidewalk robots on Uber Eats to enhance their delivery experience for merchants and customers. “As we continue to popularize robot delivery in Los Angeles, our partnership with Coco drives us another step towards a more sustainable and autonomous future for delivery.”
Coco has a fleet of over 1,000 emissions-free robots. They are designed to be an effective and affordable option for merchants. It should be noted that Coco is the world’s largest urban robot delivery platform. Since its establishment in 2020, Coco has completed more than 300,000 zero-emission deliveries in 30 minutes or less in the United States and Europe.
