Amazon is getting rid of titles including Amazon Media Group, Amazon Marketing services, and Amazon Advertising platform by channelizing Amazon ad offerings through the rebrand Amazon Advertising. This new initiative is to integrate all the advertisement sections into a simplified category.
Two weeks before, Google announced the rebranding of Google AdWords to Google Ads. Google integrated some of its services into one with this rebranding, and visibly the same is happening with Amazon!
The senior vice-president of Amazon Advertising, Paul Kotas mentions this move as:
“This is another step towards our goal of providing advertising solutions that are simple and intuitive for the hundreds of thousands of advertisers that use our products to help grow their business”
This attempt by Amazon is specially made to increase the revenue from advertising. Since the tool is getting integrated into a single service, advertisers and agencies could get rid of their confusions dealing with the complex structure of Advertising.
