Check images for rights, attribution and the BTC image standard before a piece moves to review.
Join the weekly editorial meeting with angles, objections and ideas. Challenge weak takes politely and with evidence.
Draft point-of-view and Opinion pieces under the Editor-in-Chief’s direction, so the BTC voice is practitioner-first and evidence over hype.
Coach contributors through one standard round of revisions and keep them informed from pitch to publication.
Edit scripts for the BTC YouTube channel and the weekly newsletter so tone stays consistent across formats.
What they’re looking for
3 or more years of sub editing or editing in a newsroom, B2B publication, agency or brand-led publishing team.
Excellent British English, with a sharp eye for structure, logic and unforced style.
Rigorous fact-checking habits and comfort challenging a source or a writer.
Strong interest in branding, marketing or business, enough to spot a weak argument.
