Dabur Herb’l Charcoal Toothpaste Launches First-Ever Ad in India

Dabur Herb’l Charcoal Toothpaste introduced its ad, conceptualized by Ogilvy, in India. The quirky ad shows the new-age, unconventional way of getting sparkling white teeth using black toothpaste.

Binit Kumar, Category Head – Oral Care of Dabur India, Limited, said Dabur Herb’l Charcoal is a new addition to the portfolio. “We felt that since it’s a paste for the new age consumers, we should have some fun with the communication so that it makes the points as well as connects with the audience.” Kumar shared that the company hopes the ad breaks the norms and gets a bright smile on the consumer’s face.

Ritu Sharda, Chief Creative Officer, Ogilvy India (North), said the legacy of Dabur is celebrated across the country and the campaign for Dabur Herb’l Charcoal Toothpaste is a testament to the progressive nature of the brand.

Dabur aims to reach out to the millennials and Gen Z group. It believes this activated charcoal toothpaste will be a breakthrough for the brand to meet the oral care needs of its consumers across India. Moreover, the #BlackForWhite concept challenges the conventional approach to advertise a toothpaste.
