Disney is partnering with industry-leading brands to celebrate 90 years of Donald Duck with stylish new products and collectibles. Global brands such as, Adidas, Citizen, Funko, ASOS, Disney Store, BoxLunch, Loungefly and Pandora, among others, are coming up with Donald Duck-themed products in honor of the character’s 90th anniversary.
Liz Shortreed, Senior Vice President of Disney Global Softlines and Global Brand Strategy, says Donald Duck’s relatable and endearing frustrations with everyday life have made him one of the world’s most famous personalities. “We knew we had to make sure to celebrate him in a big way. We are thrilled to collaborate with some of retail’s biggest brands to bring fans an array of Donald Duck products like never before.
The lovable and hilariously temperamental character Donald Duck was created by Walt Disney in 1834. It went on to become one of the world’s most recognizable characters. Donald Duck’s popularity and accomplishments on and off screen have earned him numerous accolades, including a star on the legendary Hollywood Walk of Fame and webbed footprints immortalized in cement outside the famed Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.
