The Nostalgia Buckets

The original McDonald’s Trick-o-Treat buckets were a must-have in the 1990s. It came as the container for any Happy Meal and was offered with different faces and personalities. These buckets were the perfect marketing tool – McPunk, the traditional, smiling jack-o-lantern, and the McBoo, a ghost face, and McGoblin, that evil grin.

McDonald’s Boo buckets underwent numerous redesigns. It came in three colors – orange, white, and green in 1989. The buckets were introduced as McPunk’n, McBoo, and McWitch in 1992, fitted with a lid that could also be used as a cookie cutter.

The buckets, between 2010 and 2016, featured pop culture tie-ins, including Mr Potato Head, Minions and It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.
