Nothing Should Get in the Way of Hot Pizza, Domino’s Gives Snow Plowing Grants

Anything for piping hot pizza! Domino’s Pizza is giving half a million dollars in grants for snow plowing so that customers can easily access their favorite hot pizzas. Up to 20 cities can get $25,000 in snow plowing grants to ensure that hot pizzas are accessible even on the coldest and snowiest days.

Joe Jordan, Domino’s president of US and global services, said they at Domino’s they have made delivery cars with warming ovens built in, and paved roads to get pizza delivered hot and in perfect condition. Domino’s has also offered pizza insurance for when anything goes awry.

To us, nothing should stand in the way of getting a delicious pizza, including snowy, cold weather. So yes – you heard it right, a pizza company is helping to plow roads.” To avail of this opportunity, customers have to submit the zip code of their hometown for a grant. Nominations opened on December 4 and will run until January 21, 2024. Customers are limited to one submission per email address.

Domino’s will name selected towns on a rolling basis throughout the program to make sure grants are awarded during the winter season. Announcements would be made in mid-January. The pizza chain has worked with three municipalities, including Erie, PA; Marquette, MI; and Manhattan, MT; to help their plowing efforts.

Besides funds, twenty communities will get a winter-themed Domino’s Plowing for Pizza kit. This is made up of winter hats, scarves, snow measuring sticks and signs, vehicle magnets, and other themed items, including $200 in Domino’s gift cards.
